the eastside mural

As a community anchor, The Rosewood Initiative fosters community building and serves as a resource hub for East Portlanders most impacted by systemic exclusion. Rosewood works to improve access to support systems that promote economic stability, wellness, and community resilience. This artwork features portraits of local residents, celebrating the diversity and lived experience of East Portland. By embedding community representation into a highly visible public space, the mural supports Rosewood’s broader goal of strengthening neighborhood identity and reinforcing trust between the organization and the people it serves.
